I was subscribed to youtuber Chilled Chaos and he posted a video for a game known as Town of Salem. After watching some of his videos I began to like the game and eventually made an account. On the day I made my account on TOS, I had taken my Grandfather to the doctor's office earlier that day. Doctor Phillips and my grandpa were talking about  random stuff in the waiting room after the check up. They had been discussing recipes for some reason and I heard the Doctor talk about how his mother used to make the best butternut squash. So, my TOS username became "DoctorButternut".

Later on, I was looking for youtubers that made more serious town of salem videos and that's how I found Torm's channel. Months later, that led me to Slimebeast, which led me to Midnight Marinara/Dead Palette. MM made a podcast called Undercooked Analysis about the creepypasta 1999 and eventually discovered how the story plagiarized Alantutorial. With almost nothing on the internet about this, I made my first video on my new channel "Skill Flea"  about whether or not 1999 plagiarized Alantutorial. And I began writing creepypasta which is heavily influenced by Dead Palette's style of storytelling.

It's hard for me to say when I decided to start doing YouTube but my husband had been tossing around the idea for him and his best friend to start one. They kept talking about it so much (but not doing much in the way of actually doing it) that the idea kind of stuck in my head.

At the time I was working part time at the county jail where I live so I had plenty of time but I was still thinking about it and doing some research. I found out that I was getting laid off so I figured why not?

It was hard for me to actually start recording and in the process I threw out numerous videos that I had recorded. I've been diagnosed with severe depression and I have (minor) social anxiety. Funny enough it's harder for me to socialize on the internet because I look at what I type and think, "That's a stupid thing to say!"

I had to force myself to post any videos as I'm very self conscious about my voice but I'm glad I did. I wasn't sure entirely on what channel would be other than the fact I would be recording games.

I'm hoping that it will be a creative outlet for me and help me cope with my depression. I just want to feel like I'm a part of something and it's also one of the reasons why I joined this forum and I'm glad I'm here at the beginning. I just hope I can get back to recording soon but I've had a few bumps in the road lately, not only with the problem Ii posted in one of my threads but due to a lot of personal issues lately.

I don't mean to ramble but that's the gist of things and why I started my channel. :)
Blew blew blue.

I think I made my first youtube video back in early 2010. I was 10 years old at that time, so yeah. Quality wasn't the best thing.

Only reason I picked up on Youtube again was due to a viral hit I got with a pokemon video I made :P
(sorry for broken english)

When I joined Youtube, way back in 2007 I didn't even think about uploading anything. I just joined so I could watch videos and keep a history of what I'd watched..

Then a few years later..  4 or 5 I can't remember.. I made this dumb little video.. I would film now and again while I was out walking and stuff.. I'd gone for a walk on the each and got completely cut and had to wade through the incoming tide. I'd hurt my ankle a few days before and almost fell over but for some stupid reason I filmed on my phone as I walked like a derp.. People said it was funny and I should put it on youtube which I did. It got 7000 views fairly quickly (which was a ton for me) and I got around 15-20 subscribers straight away.. I put up a few more videos and the did okay(ish) then kind of stopped..

It's only recently that I decided to re-start uploading stuff... I had a ton of videos and just thought I'd put them up..

I'm starting another channel soon. I've been meaning to do it for a while but work and personal stuff has got in the way. I hope to have it running before Christmas though.. I was thinking about doing some games which seems fun, but I'm not good at games so I'm going to go with DIY stuff, mainly sewing and making cosplay things and jewelry because I do that a lot anyway, it would be just a matter of learning the best way to video what I do.

I'll still be doing my old original channel and I have a few ideas for that as well.. maybe documentaries and stuff. I want to learn how to edit better.

I'm not thinking of monetizing anything though.. it will be just for fun. I don't think I'll ever get enough views to even think about making money.

Huh, I never posted here. Well, uhhh, years ago I found Team Yashichi and was amazed by it, I watched through all (about 6 videos in one evening) and thought it'd be fun to do races with friends.(didn't even consider recording at the time) I ended up doing a few races with my brother over a few years and had fun.

In the late spring/early summer of this year my brother, friend and I tossed around the idea of doing lps and we recorded a single episode...it could have gone worse but I really wasn't happy with it and decided to never release it. Later I brainstormed doing races on youtube provided I get enough people but at the time I did not know enough people that were able/willing to race regularly. Unrelated but later that summer I became active on the forum talkhaus where I joined the skype group and made some friends that happen to lp.

After being with a group of people that lp'd frequently, I combined the idea of racing with friends and these people that I know online to make the channel. The first race really just came from me talking to people and saying "huh, we have spare time tomorrow, want to race kirby superstar?" Since I've gotten more online people and more friends I know to be involved to have the channel that I have today.
I do things at ParmaJon's Pizza Palace and on my own channel. Also sarcasm everywhere.

I was in the university which was probably the shittiest period of my life. Didn't find my place in Uni, in the world, felt alone and depressed. Then I somehow discovered some gaming channels and grew to like that kind of content.

However a danish friend of mine visited on summer and I had to realize, it's taking way too much time to create sentences in english. I wanted to speak english much more. So I came up with the idea: combine the new found hobby with something practical. Ba-da-bumm, my shitty YouTube channel borned. Maybe a year later a twitch channel too.
I don't always speak, but when I do it doesn't make any sense.

I've honestly been wanting to do lets plays since 2010 and man.. I still kick myself for not starting sooner but I was in college and had absolutely no money to do this kind of stuff. I have a pretty good job now and the thought had always sat on the back of my head but I usually pushed it aside. Most people don't like me saying it but in all honesty Markiplier was that final push for me to start making videos. It wasn't really him that pushed it but finding out how much money he had raised for various charities. I've always been a very charitable person even when I myself have had absolutely nothing but if I thought that if I can push really hard with this then maybe one day I can help even more. It sounds kind of sappy to some people but its the truth. I think I have done pretty good at getting 170 subs in less than two months of doing this but I know I still have a very long way to go. I won't give up though because I really want to try and help make the world a better place even if I only get to do so by making one person smile or laugh.

I started on September 5th, 2015. I made my channel 2 days before I uploaded my first ever video. My uncle and my cousin introduced me to Town of Salem about 2 years ago. I liked the game at first but i wasnt very good at it. About a year went by and i saw Lordminion777's playlist on the game. It revitalized my hype for it and so i started playing it again. After i watched all of Wade's videos i began looking for more content, this is when i found the Derp Crew. They made me love the game even more. I never thought to upload anything on YouTube, as im extremely antisocial in real life. Im the kind of guy that will bump in to you and go crazy for 5 seconds wondering if i should say sorry or not. I found Torm's channel becuase i wanted to see some solo gameplay so i could get better at the game, this is when i discovered him.
I was at a low point in my life in the months before my YouTube channel started. I had been chasing a girl named Amber for 2 years and she always turned me away and then let me back in. I made my channel because she thought it would be funny, but of course she never subbed or supported me. After i gave her the middle finger and finally realized she was wasting my life, I became really sad... at first i uploaded because i wanted to show people that i was good at something, but then i realized i could let all my feeling out by acting like an idiot on camera. Its funny how that works. Ever since then ive been loyal to my channel and to my subscribers, and i dont regret anything that ive done.
So thats my story, I know its kinda stereotypical but its the truth. Hope this helps you in some way.
